PayNumera uses an ad-supported model to fund site maintenance and tax-data updates through programmatic display advertising.
2. Absolute Mathematical & Editorial Independence
Advertising partners must remain separate from calculation and content decisions:
- Calculations Are Never Influenced by Sponsors: No advertiser or sponsor can purchase favorable calculation outcomes, alter tax formulas, or modify paycheck withholding logic. All formulas are strictly derived from official government statutes (such as IRS Publication 15-T, SSA statutory wage bases, and state Department of Revenue publications).
- Objective Content: Editorial guides, tax explainers, and compensation comparisons must serve readers without sponsor interference or product placement obligations.
- No Data Harvesting for Advertisers: All calculation inputs (wages, pay frequency, withholding elections, retirement contributions) are processed locally on your device or via stateless edge compute. PayNumera never sells, rents, or shares your personal financial calculations with third-party ad networks.
3. Ad Placement Guardrails & User Experience
Ads must never interrupt a calculation. These placement rules apply to all 8 national calculators and 51 state pages:
- After primary calculation result tables
- Between explanatory and methodology sections
- In side rails on large desktop viewports
- Adjacent to FAQ sections and related guides
- Never above the calculator dominating first view
- Never between input fields or labels
- Never inside results tables or breakdown rows
- Zero deceptive interstitials or pop-under modals
4. Layout Reserve & Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
To ensure smooth, stable reading experiences, all display ad slots on PayNumera feature fixed layout reservation (min-height CSS constraints). This guarantees that dynamically loaded advertisements will not cause sudden page jumps or shift your focus while entering numbers or reading tax results.
